It’s Not What You Know, It’s Who You Know.
The title certainly sums up how it is in the business world these days. Networking is an essential route to get to know new business connections in your local area. Alongside this, there are an abundance of reasons as to why networking is good for you, and why as an owner, director or decision maker you should put yourself out there and engage in it. Raising Your Profile Getting out there and attending networking events gets your name and company noticed. You instantly make yourself more visible, allowing other like minded business people to take recognition and remember you. Especially if you make yourself stand out in both your personality and what your business offers. This can therefore enhance your reputation in the local business community and make it more likely that you receive greater leads and referrals as a result of networking. Since you will pop into peoples heads when themselves or someone they know is seeking your goods or services. Increased Confidence Confidence is an essential attribute to have when being a business owner, director, or someone in the business that has a leadership or decision making role. By attending networking events you are naturally thrown into a […]
Why Local & Independent Is Better.
“When you buy from a small or independent business, you’re not helping a CEO buy a third holiday home. You’re helping a little girl get dance lessons, a little boy get his team jersey, a mum or dad put food on the table, a family pay a mortgage or a student pay for university”. This quote really resignates with our values here at Breslins Club. Being a small business ourselves, we are passionate about businesses supporting businesses but on a local scale. We vote independent over chain any day, purely because of the small benefits and essentials it brings to individuals, their families and the overall community. So why should you support your local business’? Boosting The Local Economy These local independents and small businesses are the backbone of the economy. With local businesses using one another for both business and personal reasons, money stays locally and therefore gets put back into the community, allowing it to thrive. For example research shows that £10 spent with a local independent means up to an additional £50 going back into the local economy. Not only this but it also allows these businesses to be successful and stay open, providing greater infrastructure and […]

We recognise that time is of upmost value to those of you running businesses and therefore you want to spend it wisely. Therefore we propose a monthly networking meet, that resignates with informality, fun and enjoyment whilst balancing it with the focus on the main objective, growing businesses. Combining both […]

And what a great success the night was! There was a immense atmosphere, plenty of drinks and lots of good conversations flowing, with new relationships being formed.
